Jordan Brand's deep connection with golf has expanded as the legacy brand continues to convert its iconic basketball sneakers into golf-ready footwear. Notable among these transformations is the Air Jordan 9, which recently has seen several adaptations, including the White Black, Happy Life Wood, and Cool Grey colorways. In a nod to the University of North Carolina, Jordan Brand has exclusively crafted a PE colorway of the Air Jordan 9 Golf for the university's golf team, celebrating the storied partnership between the brand and Michael Jordan's alma mater.
This special edition PE is a homage to the original Air Jordan 9 Powder Blue, reimagined for the golf course. The sneaker features a high-quality leather upper adorned with striking blue accents that tribute UNC's team colors. The detailing on the Air Jordan text across the tongue, the sockliner, and the Jumpman logo on the heel all embrace the university blue, enhancing the thematic consistency of the design. Function meets form as the sneaker has a university blue midsole highlighted with white accents and a blue Jumpman on the rear. The golf adaptation is completed with a spiked rubber outsole tailored to offer optimal grip and stability on the green.
Unfortunately, this Air Jordan 9 Golf UNC PE is not set for a public release. However, we are expecting more non-golf AJ 9s later in the year, including the Jordan 9 Olive.
