The Cool Grey theme on Air Jordans took the world by storm when it was introduced in 2001 on the Air Jordan 11 Retro. Jordan Brand brought this theme to the Air Jordan 9 Retro one year later. Considered one of the best non-OG colorways of the AJ 9, it was re-released in 2012 to much praise. Thirteen years later, the Air Jordan 9 Retro Cool Grey is set for a comeback.
As part of Jordan Brand's Spring 2025 Lineup, the Air Jordan 9 Retro Cool Grey comes in the classic medium grey, white, and cool grey color scheme. This time, the shape will be more true to the OG, mimicking the recently released Air Jordan 9 Retro Powder Blue. A grey suede upper is highlighted by patent leather detailing. White comes into play via the laces, midsole, and Jumpman logo on the translucent smokey gum rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 9 Retro Cool Grey will release on March 15, 2025, through Nike, SNKRS, and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men's and gradeschool sizing, retail is set at $210 and $160.
