The University of Oregon is dominating the Big Ten as the school’s football team is undefeated, boasting a 9-0 record at the time of this writing. Performing at this high level takes more than just practicing on off days—it’s also about embracing Deion Sanders’ famous mantra, “Look good, feel good, play good,” which aligns perfectly with the school’s strong ties to Nike and Jordan Brand. Because of this close relationship to The Swoosh, Oregon often gets its exclusive colorways of legendary sneakers, the latest being the Air Jordan 9.
Premiered shortly after the school’s Ducks of a Feather project with Nike on the Dunk Low What The Duck Home, Away, and Black, this Jordan 9 keeps things simple with a white, green, yellow, and black color palette. Patent leather along the mudguard wraps around the heel and collar, reflecting the Ducks’ iconic green color. White leather with embroidered details is present for most of the upper, contrasted by the yellow TPU eyelets that host a green lace set.
Moving toward the tongue, we see white mesh and more green/yellow accents, the latter present thanks to the split Oregon Ducks branding on the embroidered tongue label. Other branding is found on the heel, retaining the typical Jordan 9 logos like the embroidered 23 and the globe design. Down below, the silhouette comes complete with a black and white midsole featuring a green Jumpman near the lateral heel and a white outsole.
Unfortunately, the Air Jordan 9 Retro Oregon Ducks PE will be exclusive to the Oregon Ducks football team. However, some Air Jordan 9s will be on the lookout for shortly, including the Cool Grey in Spring 2025.
