Jordan Brand introduced the Air Jordan AJKO 1 back when the original run of AJ 1s were hitting shelves in the mid-80s. Though the model’s presence isn’t as strong in the sneaker community as the traditional Jordan 1, we’ve seen the silhouette return in a handful of colorways over the last two years. Even a new low-cut version debuted with the help of Union LA. So far, we know of two colorways of the Air Jordan AJKO 1 Low and have already seen images of the “Bred” colorway. Now, first looks at the AJKO 1 Low "Shadow" have appeared.
This new “Shadow” colorway references the original Air Jordan 1 High “Shadow,” though this version features the AJKO 1 design. The black canvas on the mudguard, eyestays, quarter panel, and heel contrasts nicely with the grey canvas placed on the toebox. More grey hits appear on the Swoosh and AJKO-branded heel tab, though these panels come covered in leather. The black-on-black laces stop below the grey Nike Air-branded tongue tag, with the sockliner hosting a nod to original Jordan releases where sizing info was stamped onto the medial collar. Rounding out the look is the sail midsole paired with a grey rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan AJKO 1 Low Shadow is set to release in May 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers, with a retail price of $120 in men's sizing. Select retailers, like END Clothing, are hosting a release on April 30th.
