The Air Jordan AJKO 1 saw a sporadic run when it returned to stores in 2021. Jordan Brand kicked things off with the original “Chicago” colorway followed by an all-new “Storm Blue,” and Billie Eilish collab. This year, college vibes once again adorn the Air Jordan 1 “Knock-Off.”
When The Air Jordan 1 KO got the “OG” treatment for the first time in 2014, it kicked things off with a two-shoe Rivals Pack, featuring “UNC” and “Georgetown” colorways of the silhouette. Now, eight years later, another college seems to be the theme for the latest AJKO, Syracuse University. While Syracuse wasn’t a rival of MJ’s Tar Heels during his playing days, Jordan Brand athlete Carmelo Anthony as well as the goat’s daughter, Jasmine Jordan are both Orange alumni.
Coming in a clean rush orange, white, and sail, the Air Jordan AJKO 1 “Syracuse” edition features its signature all-canvas upper. The only parts of the upper to not feature canvas are the collar and Swoosh on the sides. Rush Orange adorns the majority of the upper while white covers the rest. An “aged” sail colored midsole, OG “Nike Air” branding on the tongue tag and insoles, and orange AJKO rubber outsole finish things off for this pair.
The Air Jordan AJKO 1 Syracuse released in April 2022 overseas. A stateside release is set for August. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. Coming in men’s sizes, retail is set at $140.
