Designed as a modern-day twist to the original 80s classic, the Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low made its debut in 2002. Since then, the sneaker has survived a few runs over the past twenty years, making way for a comeback in late 2022. With pairs like the "Chicago," "Sport Royal," and even a PE-like iteration for Jayson Tatum, the Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low is here to stay for the next year, or so.
We showed you a first look at the Travis Scott-esque "Palomino" colorway, and a GS exclusive "Guava Ice Jade Ice" pair. Now, we take an official look at one of the next pairs to drop, the Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low "Lightning." Taking direct inspiration from the two pack of Air Jordan 4 Retros, this pair comes in black, white, and tour yellow. Sporting a combination of nubuck and leather on the upper, a trio of colors comprise the design, with a small hit of translucent icy blue on the outsole.
The Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low Lightning is set to release in Summer 2023. It will drop at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and at select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. Coming in men's and gradeschool sizing, retail is set at $105 and $90, respectively.
