This Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low Joins the Celebration Of Dongdan
PublishedKnown for its deep-rooted ties to basketball culture and ability to infuse that into its designs, Jordan Brand again pays homage to the sport in its latest release. This time, the Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low takes inspiration from the vibrant energy of the Dongdan Basketball Tournament in in Beijing. The sneaker becomes the third Jordan in the Dongdan series, following the Air Jordan 37 Low and Air Jordan 5 Low.
This Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low takes on a white and black base, setting the stage for a vibrant display of color. Purple and pink accents are spread across the upper, including purple embroidery for the midfoot’s Wings logo . Back on the heel, a direct nod to the tournament is present with its logo embroidered in pink. A pink Jumpman logo adorns the insole, and a two-tone midsole gets dressed in white for its front half and purple at the back. Rounding out the design is a semi-translucent purple outsole.
The Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low Dongdan will release this fall through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
