The early 2000s housed quite a few Jordan Brand sneakers that may not have aged as well as others. This era included the Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low, an updated take on the Air Jordan 1 Low silhouette that may have had some buzz decades ago. However, as seen with its recent retro run, the public isn’t necessarily responding positively to this non-OG Air Jordan. However, Jordan Brand wants to give the silhouette new life again, albeit for the greens with a golf-ready makeover.
Launching in three different colorways, Chicago, Black White, and Triple White, the Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low Golf comes identical to the original silhouette in terms of its upper. Each pair features an all-leather upper with a nearly 1:1 recreation of the Jordan 1 Low toebox. Moving back, the base layer on the midfoot and heel extends the mudguard’s panel, with a split leather panel featuring a debossed Air Jordan Wings logo on the lateral side.
Along the medial side, these panels remain untouched sans the small debossed Jumpman logo. Other features from the OG remain, like the brand-less tongue, while this new golf iteration adds Jordan Golf branding to the insole. Underfoot, the model comes with a split rubber midsole and outsole that houses golf spikes near the forefoot and the heel.
The Air Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low Golf will release on January 10, 2025, through Nike and select Jordan Golf retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $150.
