London-based fashion label Always Do What You Should Do steps into the sneaker realm with its inaugural footwear collaboration, unveiling its take on the adidas Superstar ADV. Known for its seamless blend of surfing and skateboarding aesthetics with a touch of New Zealand's serene landscapes, Always has made waves through partnerships with notable brands like Noah and Levi's. This collaboration with adidas marks a significant milestone, bringing Always's distinctive ethos to the iconic Superstar ADV silhouette.
The always x adidas Superstar ADV features a classic black and white colorway, enlivened with tasteful splashes of purple and blue that highlight the collaborative spirit of the design. The lace set bears the Always logo in purple, bringing a pop of color and brand identity right at the eye level. Similarly, the brand's emblem gracefully adorns the tongue in blue, standing against the sneaker's monochrome base.
The collaboration goes deeper with "always" inscribed on the lateral midfoot, paired with adidas branding in a striking lime green on the heel, adding an unexpected twist to the traditional Superstar aesthetic. The interior nods to New Zealand's Mount Maunganui, with the sockliner spelling out the mountain, and the outsole split between the two shoes offers a personal touch: one shoe maps New Zealand. At the same time the other carries a heartfelt message, "Tell your friends you love them."
The always x adidas Superstar ADV will release on February 24, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the sneaker is priced at $110.
