The Andrew Allen x Vans Skate Authentic High Collection Releases February 2025

Vans continues to prioritize its skateboarding heritage with new footwear projects. Recently, the California-based footwear brand revamped the iconic Old Skool silhouette with modern features for skaters. Now, after announcing its upcoming music-inspired collection of Old Skool colors, the brand will launch a collaborative project with team rider Andrew Allen on two colorways of the Authentic High to celebrate Skate Shop Day.

Offered in two classic Vans colorways—one featuring the iconic checkerboard pattern popularized by Jeff Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High and the other in sleek triple black—Andrew Allen incorporates signature details throughout the design. Starting on the upper, Andrew adds a custom metallic Authentic charm to the lacing setup and applies a yellow and red checkerboard pattern to an added tag near the lateral toe. Another detail from Andrew is found on the medial upper and the sockliner, the latter featuring his name spelled out in white and the former containing his “AA” logo.

Each pair is covered entirely in a single pattern, the checkerboard pair in a white and black checker pattern, while the black pair coats the entire canvas upper in a single shade of black. Below, each pair comes with a vulcanized rubber midsole that matches the upper, featuring Duracap tech for durability, SickStick gum rubber outsoles for a grippy traction pattern, and PopCush insoles for added impact protection.

The Andrew Allen x Vans Skate Authentic High Collection will be released ahead of Skate Shop Day, which takes place on February 15. The two pairs will be available on February 13, 2025, through Vans Checkerboard Union (VCU) retailers, a collection of skate shops across the globe that have impacted skate culture.
