The Asics Gel-K1011 Miami Pack Releases February 2025

Late in 2024, Asics introduced us to an all-new vintage-inspired silhouette, the Gel-K1011, with the help of Josué Thomas and his Gallery Dept. fashion label. Not only did Gallery Dept. get three collaborative colorways of the sneaker, but Thomas himself had his hand in designing the all-new model, giving it the Gel-K1011 moniker based on the apartment number 1011 that Josué was living in when he developed his passion for art. Now, Asics is launching the sneaker in its first GR colorways in two Miami-inspired color palettes.

While the sneaker launch occurred during Art Basel, these two GRs, released months later, continue to channel South Beach vibes with their pops of vibrant color. One pair opts for a cream, grey, and white mixture across the mesh and leather construction, while the other sticks to a stealthy black hue. Both feature accenting hits of color on select details, including the mesh tongue, eyelets, lace loops, and branding details.

As for design inspiration, the pair combines panels and badging from the Gel-Kayano 5, Gel-Kayano 6, and Gel-Kayano 10. Below, the silhouette features the same tooling setup from the Gel-Cumulus 17. Here, we see a dual Gel insert combined with FlyteFoam and FlyteFoam Propel for advanced impact absorption and all-day comfort.

The Asics Gel-K1011 Miami Pack will release on February 21, 2025, through Asics and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $130.
