Asics Gel-1130 and Gel-Kayano 14 Multi-Color

The popularity of Asics has skyrocketed in the last year as sneakerheads and fashion enthusiasts have begun to shift their focus to mesh runners and comfort-focused silhouettes. Amongst all Asics’ offerings, key models like the Gel-Kayano 14, Gel-1130, GT-2160, and Gel-NYC have been pivotal in this recent success. For the brand’s latest Gel-Kayano 14 and Gel-1130 colorways, they’ve given the ladies an exclusive Multi-Color Pack.

Both pairs retain their standard construction, featuring mesh on the base and leather and synthetics for the overlays, while the base mesh gets a multi-color gradient makeover. For the Gel-1130, we see magenta, purple, and blue hues spread across the mesh base in a tie-dye pattern, while the mudguard, eyestays, midfoot overlays, and heel overlays come in a metallic silver finish. The base layer’s color effect extends onto the mesh tongue, with the white lace set allowing the multi-color hues to shine.

Moving on to the Gel-Kayano 14, a similar design language is applied. However, the hues here stick to simple colors. The toe starts as a pale pink, transitions into a more true pink near the tongue and midfoot, and then into a light sky blue shade. Above this, most of the overlays come in metallic silver. Cream shades contrast via the Asics Tiger stripe on the midfoot and the lace set. Underfoot, both pairs come with their respective tooling in a complementary cream/white color paired with a tonal rubber outsole.

Asics’ latest Gel-1130 and Gel-Kayano 14 will be released on September 26, 2024, via Asics and select retailers online and in-store. Available exclusively in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160 for the Gel-Kayano 14 and $110 for Gel-1130.
