With a longstanding history of delivering thoughtful designs, ASICS is stepping into the limelight once more with the Gel-Lyte V in “Seafoam” and “Bengal Orange.” The brand’s latest venture merges elements of ancient Japanese culture with its enduring Gel-Lyte line.
The release consists of two stunning colorways distinctly embodying their sources of inspiration. The "Seafoam" colorway uses a serene green reminiscent of jade, which is known for its historical significance in Eastern culture. On the other hand, the "Bengal Orange" colorway showcases terracotta accents. Both pairs share Japanese coin lace dubraes, adding heritage and history to the design. Apart from the attractive colors, both pairs boast the standard Gel-Lyte V construction, incorporating perforated leather on the base and suede overlays. Gel-Lyte V branding adorns the collar, while the ASICS moniker is embroidered on the tongue in an accenting shade. The underfoot is cushioned by a white foam midsole, characterized by accenting hits on the heel borrowed from the upper. The tonal outsole neatly rounds off the design.
The ASICS Gel-Lyte V Seafoam and Bengal Orange is out now at Sneaker Politics and should say a later release at Asics and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
