The rise of Asics surprised many in 2024. Fashion circles and sneakerheads fell in love with mesh runners and techy designs, exemplified by one of Asics’ newest entries in this category—the Gel-NYC. Outside of collaborations with PLEASURES and BLEACH, inline colors like the White Oyster Grey have been hits, and Asics is adding to its clean inline releases with a new Pink Cream color scheme.
Along the upper, we see a mixture of mesh, leather, and suede, coated in a soothing pink hue on most of these panels. Pink suede hits the mudguard, eyestays, vamp, heel overlays, and on the piping of the Asics tiger stripe on the midfoot. Creamy white shades come placed along the mesh base, visible on the toebox, below the midfoot panel, on the tongue, and along the heel. Branding details along the tongue and lateral heel come in a hot punch color, popping amongst the light pink and cream palettes. More cream is found on the lace set, the center of the tiger stripe, and the sockliner. Down below, the midsole comes in a grey, cream, and pink combo paired with a grey rubber outsole.
The Asics Gel-NYC Pink Cream will release sometime in the coming months, most likely in early 2025. Once released, expect a drop via Asics and select retailers for $130.
