Trail-ready sneakers have become all the rage, with gorpcore continuing to have its place in the streetwear and fashion industries. Leaning into this, Asics dropped their all-new Gel-Terrain sneaker at the beginning of the year, giving multiple brand partners the chance to put their spin on the model, including Kiko Kostadinov and CDG. Now, Asics has given the sneaker a proper outdoor-ready makeover with a two-pack of Gore-Tex-covered Asics Gel-Terrain colorways.
The Asics Gel-Terrain Gore-Tex Pack is an adventurer's dream, featuring two colorways, Grey and White, each designed to tackle the elements in style. These sneakers have a durable mesh base, complemented by fused TPU overlays, ensuring breathability and support. What sets this pack apart is the application of Gore-Tex technology, a renowned material celebrated for its water-resistant and breathable properties. This upgrade enhances the shoe's durability in various weather conditions and stamps it with the Gore-Tex seal of approval, visible on the lateral heel and across the medial side's midfoot.
The details on these sneakers include subtle pops of color that make a statement against the neutral base. The Gore-Tex branding, stitching near the eyelets, and the lace set offer a contrast that elevates the overall design. The tonal foam midsole, borrowed from the GT-2000 8, ensures comfortable wear, on city streets or rugged trails and is matched with a tonal rubber outsole for optimal grip and durability.
The Asics Gel-Terrain Gore-Tex Pack will release in 2024 through Asics and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be revealed.
