Nowadays it seems like we’re treated to a collaboration in the sneaker scene just about every week. One brand that often finds global partners to work with, adidas, is forgoing one of their biggest partnerships as the German sportswear giant has just announced they have terminated their contract with Ye and Yeezy. Even still, The Three Stripes has plans in the pipeline to work with others in the fashion world as their latest collab comes in the triple variety. Working with Japanese-based streetwear brand BEAMS and Boston-based retailer Bodega, adidas has given the two an opportunity to work on the archival adidas Adimatic.
Making its return in 2022, the Adimatic keeps the 90s skateboard-ready design language alive with this BEAMS x Bodega x adidas colorway coming in a simple cream/green color combo. Suede panels found along the mudguard and throughout the upper come in a single shade of cream while accenting hits of white land on the large flat laces and along the sockliner. Atop the tongue, a triple-branded adidas, BEAMS, and Bodega tag comes in green with white text while the Three Stripes branding along the midfoot (which also act as the eyestays) comes in green suede. Back on the heel, typical adidas branding is embroidered in green atop the suede heel while the sole unit hosts a circular adidas logo in the same green hue. Underfoot, the white rubber midsole comes with a shark teeth-like design near the toe and heel while the majority of the rubber comes with a wavy graphic pattern. Rounding everything out is a gum rubber outsole.
The BEAMS x Bodega x adidas Adimatic is set to release on February 28th, 2023 through select overseas retailers while adidas, Bodega, BEAMS, and global retailers will release pairs sometime in 2023, both online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBD. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
