Loungewear and comfort-based footwear remain a top choice in the footwear and fashion world, with Crocs seeing a significant boost in popularity thanks to this trend and its timely collaborations. While the Colorado-based brand has multiple upcoming projects, including a Horror Movie Pack, Fortnite Collection, and a Harry Potter collab, they’re traveling to Japan to work with BEAMS again.
Unlike the last BEAMS x Crocs project, which featured the All-Terrain clog and utilitarian features such as an added pouch, this new collaboration sees two different silhouettes, one on a reworked version of the Dylan Clog and the other an upgraded Classic Clog. For the Dylan Clog, the upper gets a quilted finish in black with the toebox featuring BEAMS’ tiger logo embroidered in color alongside white cursive JAPAN text above. White stitching details line the upper edge, while the sidewall is covered in more quilted material. Inside sits a co-branded BEAMS and Crocs logo in white, while the sole unit below comes in a black finish.
Moving on to BEAMS’ take on the Classic Clog, we see Croslite foam present on the upper. However, most of it is covered in black leather with a zipper and buttons that seem to serve only a visual purpose, not a practical one. Like the other pair in this pack, the sidewall of the upper is also covered in the added material. BEAMS branding is also reserved for the footbed, contrasting the black textured Croslite foam with its white finish. The black sports mode strap and black midsole and outsole are rounding out the look.
The latest BEAMS x Crocs Collection releases on September 6, 2024, through BEAMS. A global launch via Crocs and select retailers will take place on September 10. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price for the Dylan Clog is set at $80, while the price for the Classic Clog has yet to be revealed.
