Nike has forever leaned into its heritage footwear designs as some of its most popular sneakers are from decades past, however, there is plenty in the vault for The Swoosh to bring back to life. One model that is set to make its return after years away from the limelight is the Nike Air Alpha Force, a silhouette that has small ties to MJ as one of the few non-Jordan sneakers he rocked in the NBA. Already seen in one of its OG colorways, a second OG-like rendition has appeared and comes connected to pop star Billie Eilish.
Coming in an almost identical build and color scheme to the previously mentioned AAF88, this Billie Eilish version swaps out university red in place for fire red, though from the naked eye these two sneakers are essentially the same. The same perforated leather details on the toebox and collar remain as does the Nike-branded lockdown strap in black while red accents land on the eyelets, Swoosh, and collar. Bold branding details denote the name of the silhouette on the tongue while our only hit of visible Billie branding is found on the insole with a co-branded logo between both Eilish and The Swoosh. As for the rest of the model, white leather featuring tonal stitching covers the rest of the panels while the design comes rounded out by a white, fire red, and neutral grey rubber midsole and outsole.
The Billie Eilish x Nike AAF88 SP White Fire Red is set to release on August 7, 2023 through Billie Eilish's webstore and via Nike and select retailers on August 8.
