Founded in Boston in 2007, Bodega has become a staple in the New England area for the latest streetwear and sneakers. These last 15 years have shown us that Bodega knows how to execute a collaboration, working with every industry giant from Nike to Saucony. Now coming together for the first time with Hoka, the duo is celebrating 15 years of Bodega’s history with the Hoka Kaha Low GTX and the Hoka Ora Recovery Slide.
Constructed out of nubuck and suede panels on the upper, the entire silhouette is covered in Bodega’s favorite palette of earth tones and pops of vibrant color. Down on the brown suede toebox, a black rubber mudguard wraps around the suede overlay that forms both the midfoot panel and toebox. Hoka’s logo makes its way onto the nubuck vamp, separating the vibrant blue and pink tongue from the earth tones surrounding it. Co-branded Hoka and Bodega logos make their way onto the pull tab located on the tongue while a set of yellow rope laces weave in and out of the eyelets.
This sneaker will also come with three extra sets of laces: in orange, black, and pink. Back towards the ankle area, we see Hoka branding embossed into the suede panel, sitting just below a visible hazy orange nubuck underlay. Housed inside the sneaker is a bright orange pair of insoles with Bodega and Hoka co-branding on the right foot and a special 15-year Anniversary logo for Bodega on the left. Rounding out the entire look is the two-tone Vibram cushioned midsole coming in black and grey set to a hi-traction gum rubber outsole.
Alongside the Kaha Low is a pair of Hoka Ora Recovery Slides in a similar earth-tone color palette. Superior cushioning and a hi-traction outsole will allow you to take this pair of slides just about anywhere.
