Brain Dead, known for its vibrant and distinct approach to fashion and footwear, has consistently partnered with various brands to create refreshing and innovative designs. Their most recent joint project diverges from their usual style that's rich in graphics, opting instead for a subtler design. In partnership with adidas, they have created a unique Bowling Shoe exclusively for friends and family.
The Brain Dead x adidas Bowling Shoe is a modern twist on a familiar silhouette. The classic bowling shoe design is unmistakable if you've ever stepped into a bowling alley. However, this collaborative version elevates the traditional style with a sleek, dressy vibe. The dup features a striking two-tone colorway scheme, with one pair featuring a black and white palette and the other inverting the look.
Gold accents are strategically placed, with Brain Dead and adidas branding on the lateral side, adding a touch of luxury. This branding is complemented by white contrast stitching that enhances the shoe's aesthetics and emphasizes its quality craftsmanship. The Brain Dead logo is tastefully placed on the insole and heel, subtly indicating the collaboration without overpowering the shoe's design. In contrast to the classic flat design of standard bowling shoes, this version sports a tan sole unit with a cream wedge heel, adding a contemporary and stylish twist to the shoe's profile.
Brain Dead made each pair differently depending on which hand you bowl with. The White colorway is made for lefties, as the right foot has a slick leather slider sole, while the left foot has a traction rubber sole with leather tips. On the other hand, the Black pair inverts the traction and slick sole units.
While initially touted as a friends & family exclusive, the Brain Dead x adidas Bowling Shoe will be getting a limited release on June 11, 2024, via Dover Street Market LA, NYC, and London, as well as an online raffle via Brain Dead's website. Both pairs retail for $200. Check down below for images of the sneaker and keep it locked to the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
