If 2022 has taught us anything, it's that Asics is a force to be reckoned with. Following collaborations with the likes of Andersson Bell, Cecilie Bahnsen, JJJJound, and Ronnie Fieg, the Japanese sportswear giant has now revealed the Brain Dead x Asics GEL-Nimbus 9 Pack. Partnering up with Kyle Ng's Los Angeles creative collective for the third time, this is, without a shadow of a doubt, their most eye-catching sneaker yet.
Taking on the GEL-Nimbus 9 silhouette which is getting more and more popular by the minute, Brain Dead's version is colorful and chaotic at the same time. One pair comes in "Rio Red" while the other opts for "Nightshade." Complete with pastel pink Tiger Stripes that shoot through the sides, Almost Apricot and Laurel Wreath accents adorn the toebox and heel, and underfoot of each pair, respectively. The GEL midsole is dipped in a military green hue on the "Rio Red" pair, which is lined with a dash of neon pink. To round it all off, co-branded detailing makes its way to the tongue, and the sneaker is tied together with a pair of hiking-inspired laces, finalizing the show-stopping aesthetic.
Releasing on January 24th, 2023 in men's sizes, the Brain Dead x Asics GEL-Nimbus 9 Pack will will be available via Brain Dead, Asics, and select online and in-store retailers with a retail price set at $180.
