The resurgence of New Balance has been a breath of fresh air within the hardcore sneakerhead world that has been dominated by Yeezy, Jordan, and Nike silhouettes for the last half-decade. One of their more popular models as of late has been the 2002R, an early 2010s runner that has seen the likes of JoeFreshGoods and more lend their hand to its recent offerings. Though Bryant Giles already has a standard pair in the pipeline, the silhouette's mule version is getting reworked by the artist.
Across the slip-on silhouette, a cream-colored canvas makes up the underlays and overlays with the only hit of mesh coming courtesy of the tongue. Artwork from Giles' latest collection appears hand-drawn, wrapping from heel to heel but stopping just around the N logo on the midfoot. The cream insole also borrows this artwork, forgoing any New Balance branding. Underfoot, the midsole that comes borrowed from the NB 860V2 comes in a tonal shade of cream, finished off by the rubber outsole below.
The Bryant Giles x New Balance 2002R Mule What Now? is set to release in July 2022 through gonehomme.com, New Balance and select NB retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $160. To stay updated on the latest from New Balance and more, keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App for future releases.
