Introduced in 2022 with the help of Joe Freshgoods, the New Balance 9060 has since become one of the most popular offerings from the Boston-based footwear label. It’s undergone a series of makeovers, from collaborators to SMU colors exclusive to retailers, the latter expanding with an ASOS-exclusive Pink Overdyed colorway.
Multi-layered and multi-paneled construction inspired by the Y2K era of runners and the illustrious 99X series defines the 9060 silhouette, with this specific pair coated in various pink hues. Suede paneling along the toe, midfoot, and collar comes overdyed to produce an oversaturated shade of pink. At the same time, lighter hues grace the panels near the toe, vamp, and underneath the midfoot. N branding is rendered in a cream and pink finish, matching the color palette on the tongue and sockliner.
More muted pink shades find a home on the mesh base layer, the nubuck heel tab, and the clear TPU heel counter. Below the upper sits the 9060’s chunky midsole, beginning with a cream shade on the full-length foam and pods of pink near the forefoot and heel. Finishing the design is the pink and cream rubber outsole.
