The Los Angeles Clippers are tied with the Denver Nuggets in the first best-of-seven series for this year’s NBA playoffs. Helping the Clippers advance into the postseason is Kawhi Leonard, who can thank his latest signature sneaker with New Balance, the Kawhi 4, for giving him the extra edge in games. The newest release from the model pays homage to the Clippers' City Edition uniforms.
Dubbed Wave, the new Kawhi 4 features vibrant light blue hues with orange, black, and white pops throughout the design. Not only does the blue hue of the fused TPU overlays, mesh base, and TPU heel counter add to the wave theme, but faux water droplets applied to the midfoot make it look like the shoe is wet. Kawhi’s logos along the tongue are rendered in white, while his name is debossed here on the suede panel and spelled in red on the heel tab.

Nautical-inspired flags are placed on the branding windows near the heel and collar. Below is a tonal blue midsole with black, red, and white accents, encapsulating the full-length FuelCell cushioning tech and a carbon fiber plate. The semi-translucent blue rubber outsole finishes the sneaker, featuring a cut-out to view the Energy Arc carbon fiber plate.
The New Balance Kawhi 4 Wave will release on April 25, 2025, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $160.
