German retailer BSTN has partnered with adidas multiple times over the last few years. The duo previously worked together to honor European basketball with a Forum Low for Panathinaikos B.C. and a Forum High for Jugoplastika Split, but are now using the Centennial Low RM to commemorate FC Bayern Munich Basketball.
Taking after the club’s color scheme of burgundy and white, we see suede and tumbled leather details across the design. Burgundy Three Stripes and heel tab pop amongst the cream and grey on the upper. Suede panels hit the mudguard in grey, while the rest of the sneaker, including the perforated toebox, tumbled leather midfoot, collar, and heel, come in a cream leather finish. Nylon takes over the tongue, with the top of the tongue featuring Bayern’s basketball team logo embroidered in a tonal cream shade. More nods to Bayern are found on the insole, with BSTN and adidas logos plastered near the team’s logo. BSTN also finds a home on the heel tab with its logo etched into the burgundy leather. Underfoot sits a cream rubber midsole paired with a tonal rubber outsole.
The BSTN x FC Bayern Munich Basketball x adidas Centennial RM releases on September 14, 2024, through BSTN online and in-store. A wider release will take place on September 16.
