New Balance’s skateboarding division, New Balance Numeric, has enjoyed success in the collaborative footwear space over the last year, teaming up with Roland, the makers of the 808 drum machine, and skate shops like Vu and The Museum. Continuing this trend is a collaboration between New Balance Numeric and Chocolate Skateboards on the 480 High and 480 silhouette.
While both pairs come in different color palettes, both feature the same tumbled leather, mesh, and suede construction. On the low top, we see a mixture of cream-white and sea salt hues, with red details popping throughout, while the high comes with tonal black shades and red accents. Cream white suede hits the mudguard, midfoot, collar, and heel on the low, with sea salt shades landing on the tumbled leather details along the toe, N logo, and collar overlay. Red outlines the N logo on the midfoot and covers the Chocolate branding along the tongue tag. We see the same split material makeup on the high-top, suede on the overlays, and tumbled leather on the base. Red lands on the Chocolate branding along the tongue and on the N logo, the latter outlined in white. Inside, both feature a custom insole with Chocolate branding, while the midsole and outsole take on tonal finishes with a custom design with Chocolate stamped near the toe.
The Chocolate x New Balance Numeric 480 Pack has already been released at select skate shops, with an online release via New Balance on October 14, 2024.
