Civilist Brings Heat Reactive Materials To The Nike Air Force 1

The Nike SB trend has seen collaborative efforts across a range of continents and partners. Back in 2020, Nike tapped the German skateshop Civilist for their take on the Nike SB Dunk Low which featured heat reactive leather on the upper that revealed a pattern reminiscent of a heat map. For their third collaboration with Nike in total, Civilist is putting their heat-reactive spin on the timeless Nike Air Force 1.

Bruce Kilgore’s design of the silhouette remains the same with leather making up the base and overlays across the upper. While the only photo that has surfaced so far appears in its heat reactive state of mixed blues, reds, greens, and yellow, it’s safe to assume based on the sockliner and tongue coming in black that the entire silhouette will share the same color palette. Red laces work up the leather eyelets towards the tongue tag which replaces the standard Nike branding for Civilist details in the form of a smiley face. Further branding comes along the back of the heel overlay with Civilist text printed atop the leather. Rounding out the entire look is the white AF1 midsole with pink AIR branding on the heel matched to a gum rubber outsole.

The Civilist x Nike Air Force 1 Low is expected to release sometime in 2022 through Civilist, Nike and select retailers online and in-store. As of now, sizing and retail pricing has not been announced.
