The Comme des Garçons Homme x New Balance 860v2 Pack Releases October 2024
Updated on •Published
As the fashion world still buzzes from the revelations of Paris Fashion Week, one of the standout announcements was the extension of the collaboration between Comme des Garçons Homme and New Balance. Known for their minimalist yet impactful designs, CDG's latest venture includes a fresh take on the New Balance 860v2, aligning with their minimalist yet impactful design ethos. This collaboration continues CDG's trend of reimagining classic New Balance silhouettes, following their work on the 990v6 and Junya Watanabe's 1906R Loafer.
The Comme des Garçons Homme x New Balance 860v2 Pack perfectly blends contemporary style and classic running design. The pack introduces two distinct colorways: one in a sleek black, silver, and white combination and another in New Balance's signature grey. The choice of colors is a nod to the brand's heritage, maintaining a timeless and versatile look. The sneakers are crafted using premium materials, including sumptuous suede on the mudguard and heel, complemented by nubuck and textured synthetic overlays on the toe, vamp, and midfoot.
Branding is subtly integrated into the design, with CDG's signature logo adorning the tongue and insole, while New Balance's iconic "N" logo remains a focal point on the midfoot. The 860v2 midsole, a popular feature in recent New Balance revivals like the 2002R and 1906R, offers excellent cushioning and support and comes in white and grey on both pairs.
The Comme des Garçons Homme x New Balance 860v2 Pack will release October 18, 2024, through Dover Street Market online and in-store. As of this writing, the retail pricing has not been announced. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest updates on this release and other sneaker news.
