COMME des Garçons has a storied history with Nike dating back to the late 90s, working on countless obscure silhouettes and popular models alike. Now after its reveal during the CDG Homme Spring/Summer 2022 runway show in three colorways, the COMME des Garçons x Nike Air Sunder Max SP has a solid release date.

The late 90s Air Max silhouette gets a remix with the upper coming wrapped in a zipper-bound nylon shell and featuring a nubuck leather overlay that runs from mudguard to heel. Three simple colorways make up the collection, coming in all-white, all-black, and a white/black makeup. Up on the tongue, Homme Plus branding overtakes the usual Nike logo. As for Nike, branding remains scarce with one mini Swoosh along the midfoot and “Air” text placed on the vamp. Rounding out the look is the midsole with exposed Air units, set to a rubber outsole.

All three colorways of the COMME des Garçons Homme x Nike Max Sunder SP are set to release on April 22nd, 2022 through Dover Street Market while a wider set of retailers should follow in July. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at ¥40,700 (approx $321 USD).
