2025 is a major year for Jordan Brand, as it celebrates the 40th Anniversary of MJ, which began the signature sneaker line that spawned the multi-billion dollar empire. With this, we’re expecting a ton of OG releases and retros of classics—the Air Jordan 11 included. In addition to the low-top Bred and women’s exclusive Igloo colorways, Jordan Brand will bring back the iconic Gamma Blue colorway as the holiday AJ 11 release.
When the Jordan 11 Gamma Blue first hit shelves in 2013, it received a mixed reception as many hoped for a retro of the Columbia (aka Legend Blue), which came a year later. Instead, this primarily black non-OG Air Jordan 11 was added to the release calendar. For its 2025 retro, the pair will join other recent AJ 11s with the higher-cut patent leather finish but still retain the features from the original 2013 pair.

Pops of gamma blue are found on the Jumpman logo along the tongue and the collar, the former surrounded by varsity maize on the Jordan 11 text. More varsity maize is present on the number 23 found on the neoprene heel tab, providing our only other contrast of color on the primarily black upper. Finishing the sneaker is the black Phylon foam midsole paired with an icy blue rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 11 Retro Gamma Blue will release in December 2025 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in full-family sizing, the retail price is $230 for adults. Kids sizes will retail for $185 (GS), $100 (PS), $85 (TD), and $70 (CB).
