Fresh off the release of CDG’s take on a classic football cleat, the Nike Premier, as well as their redesign of the Nike Air Foamposite One in 2021, Nike and Japanese fashion house COMME des GARÇON are prepping for their next drop.
A part of their FW22 collection, CDG unveiled their typical boundary-pushing designs in the fashion world. Seen on the feet of some of the models was what appears to be the next collaboration with Nike, the Nike Air Max 97 in two new iterations. Both of these colorways appear to take a more minimal approach compared to some of the past models the brand has put its spin on. Coming in either black or blue, the black-based colorway appears to have the standard construction of an Air Max 97, however, a weathered texture appearing on the upper adds to the high fashion aesthetic of worn-in looks that have dominated the space for the past few years. The blue-based pair also sports the same worn-in look, though not as noticeable due to the color, giving the leather on the upper an almost stone-washed denim look.
The Comme des Garcons Homme Plus x Nike Air Max 97 Pack is set to release on September 22nd, 2022. It will launch exclusively through CDG and Dover Street Market, both in-store and online. They will be available in extended men's sizes for a retail price of $350. Keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App to stay up to date on this release as it gets closer.
