March marks one of Nike’s favorite holidays, Air Max Day, which began in 2015 as a celebration of the original release date of the Nike Air Max 1. Since then, the month has been full of different Air Max releases, from new models like the DN8 to retros of classic colorways and the introduction of special pairs. For 2025, Nike is teaming up with the Oregon Ducks’ NIL program, Division St., and Ducks of a Feather for a unique Air Max hybrid.

Over the years, Nike has experimented with mashups of two Air Max models, specifically retro models, most famously with Sean Wotherspoon’s Air Max 1/97, which combined the Air Max 1’s upper with the Air Max 97’s tooling setup. However, this new project with Division St. marks the first time the upper of the Air Max 97 has been matched with the sole unit of the Air Max 95 (as long as you don't count the original kids' versions of the Air Max 97 which used the Air Max 95 tooling). It is fitting that this is taking place in 2025, as this year marks the 30th birthday of the Air Max 95.

For its design, Division St. pays homage to the University of Oregon through three different colorways, one of which comes in an iridescent green finish, likely nodding to the iridescent feathers found on many duck species. On top of this Storm pair, there are two other colorways, including Thunder and Lightning, all inspired by the idea of Nature Reimagined.

Nods to Ducks of a Feather, the NIL program that provides financial help to student-athletes at the University of Oregon, are found on the tongue and heel tab, while the Oregon Ducks’ mascot and logo take on a glow-in-the-dark finish on the insole. Finishing the upper are Swoosh logos on the midfoot and the black lace set with more Oregon Duck branding on the aglets.

Below, the Air Max 95 midsole replaces the full-length Air unit typically found on the Air Max 97. Instead, we see a black foam finish with green Air units on the heel and forefoot, all of which come with a glow-in-the-dark finish. The Oregon Ducks-branded rubber outsole in black and green completes the sneaker.

The Division St. x Nike Air Max 95/97 Ducks of a Feather will release on Air Max Day 2025. Exactly how the pair will be released remains a mystery, though previous Division St. releases have come via special releases on GOAT and at Flight Club locations.
