The Costs x Asics Gel-Lyte III OG Cane Vine Releases in August

The collaboration between Chinese powerhouse Costs and sneaker giant Asics has been monumental in the sneaker realm. As Asics continues to reignite its classics with fresh twists, pairing with Costs takes the reinterpretation to another dimension. Having previously combined their creativity, this dynamic duo is back with a new take on the Gel-Lyte III, drawing inspiration from the subtle intricacies of a lychee vine.
Laying down the framework for this collaboration is a blend of suede and mesh, ensuring comfortable yet stylish wear. The rich brown suede comfortably nestles on the mudguard and toebox, lending an earthy base to the design. The iconic split tongue boasts intricate embroidered details that cascade to the collar. These embroideries are punctuated by the Costs' unmistakable anchor logo. Olive green hues on the eyestays, vamp, and heel overlay contrast the muted tan on the midfoot, surrounded by canvas and mesh in coordinating shades. On the heel, the Chinese characvter for "Extend" is embroidered in a vibrant green shade. Ensuring every step is a cushioned experience, the design concludes with a pristine white Gel-cushioned midsole and a green and black rubber outsole.
The Costs x Asics Gel-Lyte III OG Cane Vine will release August 19, 2023, through Costs and on August 25 via Asics and select global retailers online and in-store.
