Jordan Brand has consistently showcased its commitment to elevating women in the sneaker community, primarily through its support for the WNBA. The release of a special WNBA-themed Air Jordan 38 at the silhouette's launch highlighted this commitment. Moving further, Jordan Brand is set to release a low-top version of the AJ 38, specifically designed for Los Angeles Sparks star and Jordan Brand athlete Dearica Hamby.
Dearica Hamby’s Air Jordan 38 Low is a vibrant celebration of Hamby's dynamic presence in the WNBA, featuring a palette of orange and yellow hues that reflect her Los Angeles Sparks' team colors. The upper is crafted from yellow nubuck and textile across the toe and midfoot, contrasting with the orange nubuck adorning the toe and eyestays. Using neoprene on the tongue in orange and textile embroidered on the collar and heel in an orange finish adds depth and texture to the design, creating a visually striking sneaker. The insole boasts a sun-like Jumpman graphic against a yellow background, further enhancing the thematic elements of the shoe. Completing the design is a foam midsole in yellow and orange, equipped with semi-translucent white TPU overlays, paired with a semi-translucent white sole unit that ensures performance readiness without sacrificing style.
The Air Jordan 38 Low Heiress W will release on March 1, 2024, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $185.
