Devin Booker’s Nike Book 1 Heads to The University of Oregon
PublishedLast night, Devin Booker made history by becoming the Phoenix Suns all-time leading scorer after netting his 15,668th point, breaking Walter Davis’ record of 15,666, which has stood since 1988. To honor Book, the Suns gifted him a handful of items, including a custom Nike Book 1 made to resemble the Converse sneakers worn by Davis. However, before this game, Book's signature sneaker with Nike was making its rounds on the college circuit. Following looks at the USC and Mizzuo PEs and the upcoming Archived rendition, the silhouette has emerged in two colorways for the Oregon Ducks.
The University of Oregon shared images of the Home and Away colors of these Nike Book 1 PEs, each featuring the school’s green, white, and yellow palette. Both versions have the same construction as other Book 1 NCAA PEs, adding nubuck suede to the toe, mudguard, vamp, eyestays, collar, and heel and applying a workwear-inspired canvas twill to the midfoot panel. One pair coats the upper in green, with yellow accents landing on the Swoosh, Book branding, and the mini Swoosh near the vamp.
Moving to the other rendition, we see a white finish with green accents on the Swoosh, outlined in yellow, tongue tag, and text on the book spine-inspired pull tab. Both pairs also feature the University of Oregon's UO logo on the lateral heel, matching the other Book 1 college PEs, while the insole features more branding for the Ducks. The tonal midsole and outsole finish the sneaker, which keeps the Ducks theme alive.
These two Nike Book 1 Oregon Duck PEs will remain exclusive to the student-athletes and coaching staff of the University of Oregon.
