Following past successes like the 9060 and 2002R models, the latest offering is the New Balance 990v6 in a delightful Gelato colorway, perfect for the warmer months. Previously, the duo worked on a kids’ exclusive 990v4 last summer and a Grinch-inspired pair for the holidays.
The DTLR-Exclusive New Balance 990v6 Gelato draws inspiration from the refreshing treat of gelato, bringing a playful and colorful design to the iconic silhouette. The upper features a grey mesh base, providing a neutral backdrop for the eye-catching accents. Blue suede dominates the mudguard, adding a cool tone that contrasts beautifully with the vibrant yellow perforated nubuck on the toe.
The eyestays come in bold orange, continuing the colorful theme, while more orange accents appear on the heel. Underfoot, the 990v6 boasts a white and purple foam midsole equipped with FuelCell cushioning, ensuring comfort and support for active kids. The look is completed with a multi-color rubber outsole, enhancing the sneaker's aesthetic appeal and functionality.
The DTLR-Exclusive New Balance 990v6 Gelato will release on July 12, 2024, exclusively via DTLR online and in-store. Coming in kids' sizing, the retail price is set at $145 for GS, $115 for PS, and $95 for TD.
