Retailer DTLR and New Balance have come together multiple times over the years to create meaningful collaborations, from the 2002R “Masquerade” to the 992 “DC”, storytelling has been a priority. The two collaborators are now taking their talents to South Beach, honoring the vibrant and historic Ocean Drive on the upcoming DTLR x New Balance 990v3.
Famous for its celebrity-filled nightclubs, larger-than-life sports teams, and beautiful beaches, DTLR brings South Beach to life through its Miami-driven color palette of cool grey, dynamite orange, silver, tide pool and solar pink. A cool grey buttery suede is utilized on the vast majority of underlays and overlays, accented by tide pool blues on the heel, collar, and toebox. This color palette continues on the branding featured on the tongue and piping the grey and white N logo on the lateral midfoot. More vibrant hits appear along the collar with the dynamite orange mesh sitting below the grey sockliner. On the medial side, a solar pink overtakes the piping around the midfoots N logo, mirroring the split outsole design. Back on the heel, a solar pink suede overlay houses debossed 990 branding. Finishing this homage to Miami is a two-tone white and grey Encap cushioned midsole sitting just above a split designed solar pink and dynamite orange rubber outsole.
The DTLR x New Balance 990v3 Ocean Drive is set to release on May 27th, 2022 exclusively through DTLR online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $195. To stay updated on all things New Balance and more, keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App for future releases.
