One of the greatest marathoners of all time, Eliud Kipchoge, has shattered records while wearing Nike products. To honor the Kenyan-born star, Nike is giving Kipchoge a collection of Nike Running sneakers, including the Pegasus 41, VaporFly NEXT%3, AlphaFly NEXT% 3, and Zoom Fly 6.
The Nike Pegasus 41 Eliud Kipchoge features a sleek design with a white engineered mesh upper, providing breathability and support. Black accents highlight the Swoosh logo on the midfoot and other branded elements, including the motivational phrase It's Just the Start on the toe, symbolizing the continuous journey of improvement in running and life. Kipchoge's signature is subtly placed near the lateral heel, adding a personal touch to the sneaker. The shoe features a green insole adorned with Eliud Kipchoge's branding alongside Nike's logo.
Underfoot, the Pegasus 41 Eliud Kipchoge showcases a gradient foam midsole, transitioning from a soft creamy hue at the top to a striking dragon red shade. This midsole incorporates Nike's ReactX foam technology, ensuring a responsive and cushioned ride. The shoe also includes an Air Zoom unit in the forefoot and heel, enhancing energy return and comfort with each stride. Completing the design is a waffle-inspired rubber outsole in a matching dragon red color, providing excellent traction and durability for various running surfaces.
The other pairs in the collection all follow a similar color palette and added details, though the VaporFly and AlphaFly come with a vapor green upper as opposed to the white found on the Peg 41 and Zoom Fly 6.
The Eliud Kipchoge x Nike Running Pack was originally slated to release October 31, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. However, after a delay, the pack will release in early December. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140 for the Peg 41, $285 for the AlphaFly 3, $260 for the VaporFly 3, and $170 for the Zoom Fly 6.
