Founded in 1947 by Francois Salomon, the Salomon Group is a major brand in outdoor sports equipment. Based in France, over the past few years Salomon has been gaining worldwide popularity with their high quality footwear that's garnered attention in both fashion and streetwear. Having already collaborated with brands like Comme des Garcons, Palace and Beams, END out of the UK, is next in line.
The two European names are joining forces for the first time on a desert-themed edition of the Salomon XT-Wings 2 silhouette. Nicknamed the “Sirocco” edition, this pair draws inspiration specifically from the Sahara desert and the Marathon de Sables, the toughest footrace on earth, which takes place annually for six days.
Coming in an acorn, sirocco and peachy keen colorway, the upper is covered in an earthy tone with brown breathable mesh uppers, which mimic sand dunes. Dusty hues cover the EVA midsole. Finishing things off is a special chassis system combined with unparalleled grip technology for optimal comfort and security via the toggle fastening system. This pair was designed to give you everything you need to survive the environment that inspires the Salomon XT-Wings 2 “Sirocco.”
