Founded in 1999, Engineered Garments has lived up to its mission statement of making garments become more personal through the experiences you have with them via a slew of collaborations and season collections over the years. For their latest endeavor, the Daiki Suzuki-founded label is teaming up with Reebok to bring us a three-pack of Engineered Garments x Reebok LX 2200 colorways.
As mentioned previously, the sneaker is visible in three colorways, "White," "Tan," and "Black" - all of which take on an asymmetrical colorblocking and construction while also featuring accenting hits of color (sans the black pair). This asymmetrical construction flips the materials used on various panels, such as the mudguard getting covered mostly in suede with leather appearing on its tail-end for one side and then reversed on the other pair, while the Reebok vector logo receives a similar treatment as well as a color change between the left and right shoe. However, the base layer remains the same across all pairs as a woven mesh takes over. Back on the heel, you’ll notice a reworked LX2200 logo which now reads “EG2200,” an obvious nod to Engineered Garments’ work on the sneaker. Underfoot, the midsole matches the primary shade of the upper while the rubber outsole slightly deviates its shade to differentiate it from the rest of the sneaker.
The Engineered Garments x Reebok LX2200 Pack is set to release on December 8th, 2022 through Nepenthes online and in-store while a wider release is set for two days later on December 10th. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
