The EQLZ 247 The Hidden Gem Honors Basketball's Under The Radar Stars
PublishedEQLZ has made a bold entrance into the world of performance basketball sneakers with the launch of its first model in 2024, the EQL 247. Designed by legendary sneaker designer Aaron Cooper, the EQL 247 quickly gained traction among basketball enthusiasts for its innovative design and superior performance. Building on this success, EQLZ is now introducing a special edition of the sneaker, aptly named The Hidden Gem, which celebrates the often-overlooked talent in the basketball community.
The EQLZ 247 The Hidden Gem takes inspiration from the concept of an emerald hidden inside a rock, symbolizing uncut promise and potential. This theme is reflected in the sneaker's design, featuring a predominantly black finish with striking green accents. The green supercritical foam is prominently displayed on the sole unit, adding visual appeal and cushioning performance. One of the standout features of this model is the engineered heating process used to apply a net to the leather rand and midsole, symbolizing the intensity and resilience of the fight on the court. The sneaker also incorporates a PEBAX cushioning system and a Sharkskin outsole, ensuring top-tier performance and grip for players.
EQLZ is giving away the first 247 pairs of The Hidden Gem in a unique initiative. Aspiring athletes are encouraged to DM @eqlz_world or @thatcalvinmai with their personal stories to enter for a chance to win and have their stories told. This campaign highlights the brand’s commitment to recognizing underrepresented talent and adds a personal touch to the sneaker’s launch.
For the rest of us, the EQLZ 247 The Hidden Gem will be released later in 2024 through EQLZ online. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
