Every Nike GT Future Colorway So Far
Published
The chatter around Nike's "lack of innovation" may be responsible for The Swoosh creating the Nike GT Future, the brand's latest entry in the Greater Than series of performance basketball sneakers. Other members of the GT family maintain modern, tech-driven designs that don’t always transition seamlessly off the court. Still, the GT Future strikes that perfect balance between on-court performer and off-the-court style piece. While we have to wait till the end of the year to get our hands on the Nike GT Future, let's look at all the colorways that have appeared thus far.

The first looks at the Nike GT Future came during NBA All-Star Weekend when Wale and AJ Dybansta sported one colorway each at the Nike Future Game. Wale was wearing the sneaker as part of an off-the-court outfit, rocking a bright orange colorway that featured black accents, while Dybansta, the number one ranked high school player in the 2025 recruiting class, sported an all-black colorway on the court. Following these on-foot shots, Frank Cooke, the legendary footwear industry veteran with his hand in many of the most coveted Nike releases from the 2010s, shared the 3M reflective details of the orange colorway.

Two days after getting the initial look at the GT Future, Frank Cooke showcased the model again on his Instagram. This in-hand look revealed a Copper Eggplant colorway that showcases the design influence of ‘90s and early 2000s basketball sneakers like the Air Foamposite and Hyperflight. Not only was it spotted on Frank’s IG, but on the feet of Wale, who wore the pair during a performance at the celebration of the Nike Air Foamposite One Galaxy in San Francisco.

Continuing to lean on the influence of the DMV native and Foamposite fan Wale, Nike gave the artist a teal colorway of the GT Future, which he premiered in promotion for his latest single, Blanco. Noticeable here are LED lights on the Swoosh along the tongue. However, this feature has been confirmed to be only for these special early colorways, as retail versions will not contain the light-up logo.

Finally, on the same day as the photos of the blue pair emerged, a volt green colorway appeared on Wale’s Instagram feed. Pictured in more promotional images for his single, we can see the continuation of the two-tone look, as the molded no-sew upper is coated in a volt shade and contrasted by black hits on the Swoosh logos and the inner bootie.
The only Nike GT Future confirmed to be released is the Black Metallic Silver colorway, the same pair worn by AJ Dybantsa, and a Metallic Silver iteration. The sneaker will first release Holiday 2025 for $190 and more colorways will land throughout 2026.
