The Extra Butter x Brooks Cascadia 18 is Available Now
PublishedExtra Butter has been a key player in New York City’s sneaker culture for nearly two decades, renowned for its expertly curated collaborations that seamlessly blend street style with storytelling. For its latest project, the NYC-based boutique has teamed up with Brooks to release a special edition of the Cascadia 18, one of Brooks’ most respected trail running silhouettes. Drawing inspiration from NYC's relentless energy and fast-paced rhythm, this collaboration is more than just a sneaker—it’s a tribute to the constant motion of the city that never sleeps.
The Extra Butter x Brooks Cascadia 18 combines performance and aesthetics in a unique package. The upper is constructed with PrintDyed mesh, delivering breathability and visual texture, while custom-shaped Splash TPU overlays on the toecap and mudguard provide added durability for urban terrain. The vibrant volt accents on the tongue, lace set, and outsole portions pop against the predominantly muted color palette. This look reflects the electric energy that flows through New York's streets. Extra Butter's branding is prominently displayed on the mesh tongue and insoles, adding a signature touch to the design. The Cascadia 18's foundation is rooted in Brooks' Trail Adapt System, offering advanced cushioning and stability while navigating city sidewalks or rugged trails. The sneaker is rounded out with a duo-tone splatter outsole and comes packaged in a custom-designed Splashy Motion box, complete with secondary laces.
The Extra Butter x Brooks Cascadia 18 is available now, with an initial launch on August 16, 2024, exclusively through Extra Butter online and in-store, followed by a wider release on August 19, 2024, via Brooks. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $150. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
