While not holding the same levels of “hype” that labels like Jordan Brand, New Balance, or adidas may have, Asics consistently executes collaborations to their fullest extent as they partner with some of the most creative minds in the game. Recently completing its World Map series with atmos, Asics is looking to founder and creative director of Novembre Magazine - Florence Tétier - to create an ultra-limited pack of Asics Gel-Nimbus 9s that utilize hand-made floral jewelry which will benefit the organization Ecole Democratique de Paris through a charity auction.
Keeping its classic construction of mesh and leather overlays, the silhouette remains unchanged from its Y2K-inspired design sans the semi-translucent plastic flowers added to the tongue which comes handmade by Tétier. For the three colorways, Asics and Florence have outfitted the Gel-Nimbus 9 in a “White Black,” “Pure Silver Classic Red,” and “Frosted Almond Black.” Typical branding details remain with Asics’ logo found atop the tongue and on the insole while the sneaker features GEL cushioning sprinkled near the heel and forefoot.
The Florence Tétier x Asics Gel-Nimbus 9 Pack is set to release through a charity auction on December 14th, 2022 through drouot.com and will be limited to just 30 pairs.
