Chicago’s froSkate Gets Their Very Own Nike SB Dunk High
Updated on •PublishedFounded when three friends came together to teach one another the basics of skateboarding, froSkate has since evolved into Chicago’s first BIPOC Femme + TQGNCNB centered skate collective. Uplifting those that may not be seen as “skaters,” the collective is getting a crack at their own Nike SB Dunk High that conveys the theme of their motto “All Love, No Hate.”
Covering the leather upper is a mismatched mix of vibrant colors placed sporadically across each shoe in different sections, made up of red, yellow, green, and blue. The collective motto of “All Love, No Hate” comes split between both pairs' midfoot portion with each half of the phrase making it onto the left and right pair respectively. More hints of froSkate appear on the left tongue tag, written in bubble text, with the right housing the motto once more. Internally, the sockliner switches up the standard mesh for a quilted material with more nods to froSkate appearing on the graphics of the sockliner. Rounding out the entire look is a white midsole and semi-translucent icy blue outsole with multi-color graphics matching the insole placed underneath.
The froSkate x Nike SB Dunk High is slated to release on August 14th through local skate shops with a Nike SB account. A second drop will occur on August 30th via the Nike SNKRS app. Coming in men's sizes, retail is set at $130.
