Danish-based design house and label Ganni has worked with New Balance multiple times in the last two years on projects that include colorways of the 2002R, 1906R, and, more recently, the T500. Now, New Balance is tapping the womenswear brand to help introduce a new model under the Fresh Foam banner — the Fresh Foam Trainer.
On the base of the silhouette, we see a wide-spaced mesh in a greyscale hue. Reinforcements are found via the fused TPU in metallic silver along the toebox and the wavy TPU on the midfoot. Classic New Balance branding, in the form of the N logo, takes on a silver finish with pink hues outlining the logo on the lateral side. Custom charms are added by Ganni, as seen with a metallic silver NB logo added to the lower eyelet and the lace dubrae of Ganni’s logo. NB and Ganni co-branding is placed along the tongue tag, insole, and medial side of the midsole. Like other Ganni collabs, dual pull tabs are added to the heel, coming in metallic silver and pink. The chunky Fresh Foam X midsole is finishing the design in metallic silver paired with a pink and silver rubber outsole.
The Ganni x New Balance Fresh Foam Trainer is listed for a release on November 28, 2024, through NakedCPH. A release via Ganni and New Balance has yet to be announced.
