Veefriends, the visionary brand founded by serial entrepreneur and Internet personality Gary Vaynerchuk, collaborates with Reebok to release an updated version of its Classic Nylon. Veefriends brings the quirky and charming Aspiring Alpaca character to the iconic Reebok silhouette this time.
The Reebok Classic Nylon, a staple of the 90s, is recognized for its minimalist aesthetic and timeless design. The Veefriends collaboration takes this classic sneaker to new heights, infusing it with the adventurous spirit of the Aspiring Alpaca, a central character of the Veefriends community. A nylon upper with suede overlays is utilized for a subtle textural contrast. The sneaker features the VeeFriends logo on the window box, and the tongue spotlights the original Series 1 drawing of the Aspiring Alpaca. Notably, the Veefriends Green stripe on the sides gives a vibrant pop of color, different from the yellow prototype sample seen last year.
Gary Vee expressed his excitement about the collaboration, saying, “As a 1980s kid and pop culture enthusiast, you can imagine how thrilled I am to collaborate with Reebok. Everyone in the ’80s was rocking those iconic sneakers, so I’m incredibly excited to extend VeeFriends to another consumer product like sneakers, which is at the forefront of popular culture. Working with the Reebok team has been a pleasure, and I can’t wait for everyone to rock the VeeFriends Aspiring Alpaca Classic Nylon.”
The Veefriends x Reebok Classic Nylon Aspiring Alpaca will release August 17, 2023, through a presale open to Veefriends NFT holders and worldwide on August 24, 2023, through Reebok online. Offered in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $90. Check here for a full rundown of the release procedure for NFT holders.
