After teaming up back in April, Australia's HAL Studios and Japan's ASICS have reunited five months later for another coveted collaboration, dubbed the HAL Studios x ASICS GEL-1130 MK-II "Forest." Taking on the ultra popular GEL-1130 silhouette, they've applied a rich green makeover to it, and the result is truly breathtaking. In case you didn't already know, HAL Studios is actually Aussie sneaker boutique Highs and Lows' in-house creative division. Over the past few years, the team have worked on a vast range of hyped projects, and the "Forest" is no doubt one of them. Working on top of a dark green mesh base, fuzzy green and black suedes make their way throughout the upper, contrasted by brown and white leather hits. Inspired by lush Japanese forests and the bright orange Shinto shrines that can be found within them, these orange accents can be found on the insoles and heels. An oversized Tiger Stripe shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, and to round it all off, HAL Studios's 1130 comes with a pair of matching socks and special packaging.
A must-have collaboration, the HAL Studios x ASICS GEL-1130 MK-II Forest is set to release in October 2022 in men's sizes for $190.
