Sanrio’s iconic Hello Kitty character has been subject to multiple footwear makeovers in the last few years, venturing across various brands in the industry. Hello Kitty appears on numerous adidas models, recently on the Gazelle and Adistar Cushion, and partnerships with Crocs, Nike, and Converse. Now, Puma is landing another collaboration with the kitten on the Puma Easy Rider.
The pair (pictured here in GS sizing) comes with a light pink suede on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel, with the mesh base taking on a graphic print of Hello Kitty. This base shows depictions of Hello Kitty alongside Puma logos, “Hello Kitty and Friends” banners, and My Melody. Along the tongue, we see more nods to Hello Kitty and Friends with My Melody getting placed on the top lace cover and a heart-shaped panel near the vamp. Glittery pink details land on the Formstrip along the midfoot and the heel tab’s branding window. The white foam midsole is finishing the design with a pink rubber outsole.
The Hello Kitty x Puma Easy Rider is slated to release sometime before the end of 2024 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. As of now, sizing information isn’t confirmed, though the only image available is of a gradeschool pair. The sneaker may only launch in kid's sizing.
