The Hoka Ora Primo Gets a Black and Stardust Makeover
PublishedSneakerheads may not be willing to admit this, but Hoka has made significant strides in the footwear world. Maybe not necessarily in the hype world we live in, but venturing outside, you’d be hard-pressed not to see at least one person wearing a pair of Hokas. Outside the brand’s well-known chunky runners, they’ve become well-known for comfort-based slip-ons like the Ora Primo, which are launching in two new colorways this month.
Previously subject to a Junya Watanabe collaboration, released in November last year, the Hoka Ora Primo comes to us in two neutral and easy-to-wear color schemes, one in black and the other mixing greys with stardust hues. Both feature quilted, puffy construction on the upper, with non-functional thick rope laces weaving across the forefoot. Hoka branding is on the lateral collar, as the brand’s bird logo is in a contrasting TPU finish.

Suede and rubber reinforcements appear along the midfoot and work down to the toe, helping the slip-on silhouette with durability. Down below, a chunky, tonal midsole featuring a crater-like pattern comes paired with a grippy two-tone rubber outsole.
The Hoka Ora Primo Black and Stardust will launch on January 15, 2025, through Hoka and select online and in-store retailers. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
